Qualifications
Dr. Venkat S. K. Naga is a Consultant Psychiatrist who has been working in various mental health centres around Australia and NZ. He is specialised in Adult Psychiatry with a focus on helping patients with anxiety, clinical depression, ADHD, ASD and other mood disorders.
He is dedicated to reaching the underlying root cause of the symptoms and provides conservative but effective medication management to help balance life. With extensive work experience around N.Z. and Australia, Venkat has developed cultural competence and associated clinically relevant knowledge to treat a diverse population.
Dr Naga channels his energy into serving well-proven, traditional evidence-based treatments, but is also very comfortable with updating himself on the latest clinically proven innovative therapies and pharmacology
Dr Naga believes in the Gut-Brain connection and has done clinical research to understand the effect of probiotics in depression. Venkat’s particular interest lies in mindfulness, philosophy, and culture.
